Fire Incident in Odesa Region: Swift Response

Yesterday, August 4, a fire occurred outside the village of Kovalivka in the Odesa region, affecting bushes and dry vegetation. Firefighters responded to the elevated alarm due to strong winds that rapidly spread the flames.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service in Odesa region.

The firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze over an area of 16 hectares. The cause of the fire and damages are currently being assessed.

A total of 7 units of equipment and 33 firefighters from the State Emergency Service were involved, along with 1 unit of equipment and 3 personnel from the Ukrainian Volunteer Firefighters Association, 1 unit and 4 personnel from the National Guard of Ukraine, as well as 1 unit and 3 local residents.
