Alert for dangerous meteorological phenomena Level I (yellow danger level)
On October 8, a northeastern wind of 15-20 m/s is expected in Odesa. Significant rainfall is forecasted for the morning and daytime.
The Odesa City Council reminds residents and visitors to be vigilant and monitor weather changes. It is advised to limit movement, especially for the elderly, children, and pregnant women. Please exercise caution when moving under trees, as strong gusts and rain may cause branches and power lines to fall.
Do not park vehicles under trees, power lines, or on storm drain grates.
The danger of being in the beach area is extremely high. Due to the storm in the Black Sea, the mine danger increases. There is a high likelihood of sea mines breaking loose from their anchors and drifting ashore, as well as drifting along the coast. An uncontrolled detonation of a mine is also possible, especially in stormy weather. If you discover a sea mine or any similar object, do not touch it and immediately report it by calling 102.
