His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius visited the Odesa region to provide support to the local community and wounded soldiers.
In Odesa, the Metropolitan, accompanied by Archbishop Afanasy, visited a medical facility treating the defenders of Ukraine.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held with local clergy, regional leaders, military officials, and community representatives.
Oleg Radkovskiy, the first deputy chairman of the regional council, presented the Metropolitan with an award for his support of the Ukrainian people.
«Your presence in our region is a significant symbol of faith for all residents of Odesa. The Church and prayer provide essential support for our heroes defending Ukraine. Thanks to your dedication, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine stands as a spiritual shield for our people», – stated Oleg Radkovskiy.
During the ceremony, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius awarded church honors to representatives of the authorities and military personnel.
In his address, the Metropolitan discussed the spiritual security of Ukraine, social and religious challenges in the region, and the Church's role in modern Ukrainian society.
Award recipients included Oleg Radkovskiy and council member Andriy Babenko.
