On April 29, an important event took place at the Odesa National Scientific Library — a lecture titled «War Trauma: Effect on the Mind» featuring Antonina Bruss, a member of the Ukrainian Association of Psychotherapy.

The event was organized as part of the program «Mental Health: Library as a Space for Psychosocial Support», which is implemented in collaboration with the Coordination Center for Mental Health of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska, «How are you?».

Cadets from the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs were invited to participate. The lecture provided a platform for an open dialogue about how three years of full-scale war have transformed the psychological landscape for Ukrainians.

Ms. Bruss emphasized that war is not just a physical confrontation but a profound emotional and mental struggle that affects everyone, regardless of gender, age, or status.

The event contributed to the development of emotional literacy, increased the cadets' awareness of the mental consequences of war, and provided tools for maintaining inner balance.
