The Literary Museum in Odessa hosted a grand opening of the first National project - «UA ZOO –ART», showcasing paintings created by employees of Ukrainian zoos.

Ivan Liptuga, the director of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing of the Odessa City Council, welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the dedication of zoo staff in saving and preserving their zoo inhabitants, as well as conducting educational activities that uplift the spirit of the Ukrainian population.

- At the exhibition, we presented works from employees of four Ukrainian zoos, - stated the project initiator and director of the Odessa Zoo, Igor Bilyakov. - This exhibition brought together zoo staff from the cities of Lutsk, Rivne, Mykolaiv, and Odessa. We aimed to highlight how creatively and lovingly zoo employees approach their vital work in these challenging times.

Musical performances were provided by soloists from the Odessa Municipal Theater named after O. Salika and musicians from Art School No. 5.

All participants received honorary certificates, joined the creative movement, learned a lot about the zoological world, and celebrated the artistic talents of Ukrainian zoo employees.

The National project «UA ZOO – ART» is organized by the CPO «Odessa Zoo», with the idea initiated by I.V. Bilyakov.

The project's curator and exhibition organizer is O.S. Alexeyenko.
