The European Wushu Championship has concluded in Heraklion, Greece, with 650 athletes from 29 countries participating.
The Ukrainian national team was represented by students from the Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School No. 1.
Champions included: Andriy Oliynyk (short weapon), Erika Chen (traditional fist), Iryna Mizina (contact matches, Tuishou), and Sofia Osadchuk - twice (contact matches, Tuishou, and fist, Baziquan).
Silver medals were awarded to: Erika Chen (short weapon), Iryna Mizina (long weapon), Sofia Osadchuk (traditional fist), Sofia Burlya - twice (traditional fist and short weapon), Ariadna Pavlyuchenko (paired weapon), and Roman Nedin (paired weapon).
Bronze medals went to: Valeriya Blahodyr (short weapon), Andriy Oliynyk (traditional fist), Erika Chen (traditional fist), Sofia Osadchuk (long weapon), Marina Yazikova (paired weapon), Sofia Tatarenko (paired weapon), Ariadna Pavlyuchenko (traditional fist), and Roman Nedin (traditional fist).
The athletes were trained by coaches: Leonid Borysov, Hanna Borysova, Daria Metka, Iryna Ihumenova, and Daria Pylypenko.
