The Ukrainian gymnastics team has made modifications to its roster for the European championship 2025 set to take place in Leipzig.
This is outlined in a recent order from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Olympic champion Oleg Vernyayev, who was previously on the reserve list, has now been included in the main squad.
Ukraine's Roster for European championship 2025
- Nazar Chepurny
- Oleg Vernyayev
- Vladyslav Gryko
- Stasys Butrimas
- Dmytro Prudko
- Yegor Perepyolkin
The European gymnastics championship 2025 will be held from May 26 to 31 in Leipzig, Germany.
Recall that on May 6, the Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation decided not to send Sartyński to the championship where Ukrainian gymnasts were expected to compete.
However, the athletes expressed their dissatisfaction with this decision and announced a boycott of the event, accusing Vice President Stella Zakharova of systematically undermining men's gymnastics in Ukraine.
Sartyński believes that he was sidelined from the Euro championship due to his resistance to the influence of the Federation. Previously, the UFG condemned the national team's intention to boycott the Euro championship.
Zakharova, in an exclusive comment, revealed who initiated the boycott, placing the blame on Vernyayev.
