Odesa rowers claimed 6 medals at the Ukrainian championship.

From July 16 to 20, the individual Ukrainian championship in kayaking and canoeing was held in Uman (Cherkasy region), serving as a qualification event for the world championship.

Albina Jakobchuk, a student of KDYUSH № 6, who continues to enhance her athletic skills at the Odesa regional school of higher sports mastery «Olympiec», secured 4 medals.

In the mixed four event over a distance of 500 meters, she became the Ukrainian champion, while finishing third in the 1000 meters (C-1), 500 meters (C-2), and 200 meters (C-2) events.

Vadym Boychuk, a representative of the Odesa regional school of higher sports mastery «Olympiec», earned a silver medal in the 1000 meters (K-2) and a bronze medal in the 200 meters event as part of a four-person crew.

The athletes were coached by Oleg Zhylkin and Mykola Kravchuk.
