A hockey player from Odesa representing the Ukrainian national team emerged victorious in the international three-nations tournament. The event took place in Austria and served as a preparatory stage for the U18 World Hockey Championship in Division 1A.

Among the national team was Ilya Bobrov, a product of the «Dzhinistra» sports school in Odesa, who plays as the main goalkeeper.

The Ukrainian team faced Denmark and the host nation, Austria, in this tournament.

In the first match, Ukraine defeated Denmark with a score of 3-0.

Goalkeeper Ilya Bobrov saved 25 shots, securing a «shutout» performance.

In the second match, the Ukrainians achieved a convincing victory over Austria, winning 7-1, again thanks to the strong performance of their goalkeeper.

During the «Sports Capital» awards ceremony in 2025, Ilya Bobrov and his coach Ruslan Korop were honored with Certificates of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Odesa City Council for their outstanding sports achievements.
