The young athletes from Odesa have successfully returned from the 57th International Children's Games held in Tallinn (Estonia).

This event brought together around 900 participants from 70 cities, and Odesa was part of this grand occasion for the first time.

The competition featured 7 sports: basketball 3x3, beach volleyball, judo, swimming, athletics, fencing, and football.

Odesa athletes competed in swimming and basketball 3x3, achieving excellent results.

The first medal for the team was won by Anastasia Marina, who secured gold in the 50-meter butterfly swimming event.

Ivan Ryaduev also excelled, finishing in 1st place in the 100m freestyle with a new personal best and a Ukrainian record of 51.86.

In the mixed relay (individual medley), the Odesa team finished 5th out of 28 teams.

In the basketball 3x3 competitions, both teams (boys and girls) performed well in the group stages and advanced to the playoffs.

Since the inaugural International Children's Games in 1968, a tradition of exchanging souvenirs has highlighted the camaraderie among athletes from 73 cities.

These games are about more than just sports; they embody friendship, unity, and new connections.

Odesa expresses deep gratitude to Tallinn for the opportunity for sports exchange for young athletes.

The participation of the Odesa team was made possible thanks to the support of the Department of International Cooperation, Culture, and Marketing, and the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Odesa City Council.
