From November 1 to 3, the village of Kolodenka (Rivne region) hosted the national championship and the open All-Ukrainian tournament class A «Children of Ukraine XXV» in taekwondo.
This event served as a qualifying round for the European Championship, scheduled to take place in two weeks in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
The national championship saw participation from 140 athletes, while the tournament attracted 465 taekwondo practitioners from across the country.
Odessa's athletes performed excellently, bringing home 6 medals from the national championship.
The champions included Renata Podolyanka and Maria Labuzova from the Olympic Sports School. Bronze medals were won by athletes from the Complex Children's and Youth Sports School No. 17: Oleksandr Labuzov, Olga Schwartz, Viktor Semaniuk, and Yuliya Hamurar.
In the open All-Ukrainian tournament class A «Children of Ukraine XXV», Odessa's juniors and cadets also excelled, earning 8 medals.
The winners of the tournament were Anastasia Volosenko, Zlata Volosenko, Danila Komarov, Daniil Modnov, and Matviy Lukashuk. Bronze medals went to Ivan Cherevichny, Nazar Lukashuk, and Lina Yeremenko.
The athletes were trained by coaches Yuliya Podolyanka and Viktor Semaniuk.
In Odessa, 178 athletes are engaged in taekwondo at KDYUSSH No. 17 and KDYUSSH No. 7.
