According to the Office of the President, the meeting took place, but no details were disclosed. It is known that the discussion lasted about 15 minutes.

This meeting was the first following a heated debate in the Oval Office in Washington in February and occurs at a critical moment for peace negotiations aimed at halting the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

"Today, Presidents Trump and Zelensky met privately and had a very constructive discussion. More detailed information will be available later," said Stephen Chung, the White House communications director.

Trump, who is urging both sides to reach a ceasefire agreement, stated on Friday that productive talks had occurred between his envoy and the Russian leadership, advocating for a high-level meeting between Kyiv and Moscow to finalize an agreement.

Earlier, media reported that the Trump administration delivered a one-page document to Ukraine in Paris, presented as the "final proposal" for a peace settlement. Among other things, the US is willing to recognize Russia's control over Crimea and ease sanctions against Moscow.

On April 24, President Zelensky indicated that the US had proposed its strategy regarding Ukrainian territories during negotiations in London, but according to him, after the US proposal, "another document appeared".
