On the night of July 5, Ukrainian forces targeted a significant military-industrial complex facility in Cheboksary, Russia.
This pertains to the company JSC «VNIIR-Progres», known for producing adaptive antenna systems.
The information was reported by the General Staff.
UAF Hits Key Russian Defense Facility in Cheboksary
The targets were the production capacities for adaptive antenna arrays.
These technologies are utilized in various weaponry, including «Shahed» drones and «Iskander-K» missiles that routinely strike Ukraine.
According to the staff, the munitions reached their targets.
The results are still being confirmed.
Strike on Borisoglebsk Airfield
That night, Ukrainian forces also attacked the Borisoglebsk airfield in the Voronezh region.
The enemy is unable to advance deep into the territory but continues to shell the border areas.
«On July 5, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other defense components, struck the Borisoglebsk airfield in the Voronezh region», the report stated.
Russian Su-34, Su-35S, and Su-30SM aircraft are stationed there.
According to the staff, a depot of guided bombs and possibly other aircraft were hit.
