Over eight significant stages of prisoner exchanges, hundreds of Ukrainians, including the injured, civilians, and those missing, have been returned home.

This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on his Facebook page.

«Eight stages of a major exchange. Since early June, hundreds of our people have returned home. This includes young individuals, defenders of Mariupol, and those who fought in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions. The injured and seriously ill. Those who were considered missing», — emphasized the head of state.

According to Zelensky, most of the released individuals had been in Russian captivity since 2022. Among those returned are not only military personnel but also civilians who fell victim to the war.

The President highlighted that this achievement is the result of coordinated efforts by a large team working daily to secure the release of every Ukrainian.

«We will continue our work and strive until we bring everyone home, without exception», he stated.
