Ukraine has finalized the repatriation of 1000 bodies that, according to Russian sources, belong to Ukrainian military personnel.

This announcement was made by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War via Telegram.

In the near future, law enforcement agencies will conduct necessary examinations and identification of the repatriated bodies in collaboration with MIA experts.

The repatriation process was successfully carried out through the joint efforts of the Coordination Headquarters, the Unified Center at the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, and other security and defense sector structures.

The Coordination Headquarters expressed gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their assistance.

Special thanks were given to the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for transporting the fallen heroes to designated specialized institutions and organizing the transfer of the deceased to law enforcement representatives and forensic examination authorities, as stated in the headquarters.

Law enforcement officials, together with MIA experts, will promptly establish the identities of the deceased.
