Odesa Attack: Impact and Response

Russia has launched a large-scale drone attack on the city of Odesa, resulting in significant damage to both energy and civil infrastructure. According to the State Emergency Service (SES), fires broke out at energy facilities and a three-story hotel and restaurant complex. Firefighters were able to rescue 2 individuals and quickly extinguish the flames. SES psychologists provided assistance to 21 people affected.
Additionally, 3 residential buildings were damaged, with preliminary reports indicating that 1 person was injured.
The response efforts were hampered by repeated air raid alerts.
A total of 18 units of equipment and 70 firefighters were engaged in the cleanup, alongside support from the Ukrainian Volunteer Firefighters Association, which contributed 1 unit of equipment and 4 personnel, as well as the city council's fire department, which provided 1 unit of equipment and 4 staff members.
