As part of the Odesa Days in Venice, a grand concert was held at the renowned Teatro La Fenice — one of the most famous opera houses in the world. This event marked a significant moment in cultural diplomacy between Ukraine and Italy, emphasizing the deep ties between Odesa and Venice.
The stage featured talented musicians from Odesa: world-class violinist Georgiy Sokolov, pianist Anastasia Melnik, and singer Anastasia Bukina. They presented a rich and varied program that combined classical masterpieces with modern interpretations. Particularly noteworthy was the inclusion of authentic Odesa songs, which added a unique charm to the performance. Their presentation served as an emotional kickoff to a series of events that will continue in Venice for several days.
Odesa's Mayor Gennady Trukhanov expressed gratitude to Venice's Mayor Luigi Brugnaro for his support and assistance in organizing the events. Additionally, Ukrainian veterans are set to participate in the prestigious Venice regatta for the first time in history.
