On April 29, 2025, an in-depth inspection of the ecological condition of the Black Sea Ravine, stretching from the Old Lustdorf Road to the beach ‘Chornomorka’, was conducted in Odessa at the initiative of the city council.

The commission included representatives from various departments, such as the Department of Ecology, the Kyiv District Administration, and other services responsible for the city’s infrastructure.

During the inspection, unauthorized sewage discharges from some private properties directly into the ravine were discovered. However, no discharges into the sea at the ‘Chornomorka’ beach were recorded.

Following the inspection, relevant agencies were instructed to promptly eliminate the identified violations and locate those responsible for accountability.

Additionally, checks of other sections of the Black Sea Ravine will be conducted to prevent potential new instances of unauthorized discharges.
