Construction has commenced in Odesa for the inclusive pedestrian route «East – West». This will be one of the largest pedestrian areas of its kind in Ukraine under the «Barrier-Free Movement» initiative.

The route stretches from Kishinivska Street to the Administrative Services Center on Zabolotna Street and encompasses several socially significant facilities.

The project includes lowering curbs, installing ramps, laying tactile paving, and updating the surface in accordance with state building regulations.

The work started symbolically on the first day of the Accessibility Week taking place in Ukraine.

The project is being implemented under the initiative of the Accessibility Council with the support of Odesa's mayor, Hennadiy Trukhanov.
