Beach Inspections in Odesa: Safety First

In Odesa, inspections of beaches are ongoing in accordance with the joint order of the Odesa regional military administration and the operational-strategic group of troops «Odesa» to ensure safety.

According to the order of the head of the regional military administration, the opening of beaches during wartime is only possible after all safety measures have been implemented and an appropriate act has been received from the Odesa district military administration.

Last week, inspections in Odesa revealed 11 beaches operating without official permission. On August 19, three more beaches in the Kyiv district were found to violate the order.

These beaches are: «Nadiya» (between the collector and traverse No. 17 of the second stage of the PZS); «Chaika» (between traverses No. 6-A and No. 6-B of the second stage of the PZS); and the beach at the 15th station of the Great Fountain (LLC «Atlant Sea Group»), located between traverses 14 and 15.

The City Department of Engineering Protection of the Territory and Coastal Development has prepared the relevant acts, and tenants have been issued orders to immediately rectify the violations. All documents will be forwarded to the district and regional military administrations for further action.

The city authorities once again remind: the operation of beaches without official permission is a serious violation of the law, posing a danger to vacationers, as it directly threatens their health and lives.

Beach inspections will continue, including not only safety requirements but also ensuring free access along the water's edge.

Additionally, the Barrier-Free Council is conducting inspections of beaches to assess accessibility for persons with disabilities and mobility-impaired groups.
