There are 17 public wells in Odesa with varying depths of boreholes ranging from 80 to 120 meters. All of them are managed by the Municipal Enterprise "Service Center." The water from these boreholes is freely available to the public.

Every day, the staff of the Service Center begins their shift by preparing the equipment for providing drinking water to the residents of the city. They also tidy up the areas surrounding the wells.

Additionally, the municipal workers carry out the following tasks:

• disinfecting water dispensing taps;
• sanitary cleaning of the water dispensing zones and the surrounding area of the boreholes;
• cleaning the adjacent territories;
• systematic removal of leaves and debris from the roofs of the well structures.

According to the agreement between the Service Center and the State Institution "Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine," the quality analysis of the borehole water in the public wells is conducted once a month.
