Due to the recent hostile attacks, Odesa is currently experiencing a power outage that has affected all tram and trolleybus services in the city. This information was released by the Odesa City Council. To maintain public transport services during the blackout, transport operators have been instructed to increase the number of buses on urban routes. Social bus services have been organized to partially replace the electric transport. Social buses are now running along major tram routes to ensure connectivity between key areas of the city. For instance, instead of tram route No. 1, buses are operating from the railway station to 28th Brigade Street with intervals of 30–40 minutes.
On the tram route No. 5, buses are running from the railway station to Arcadia via French Boulevard, with an estimated hourly interval. Additionally, buses are functioning between the '11th Station of the Great Fountain' and '16th Station of the Great Fountain', replicating the routes of trams No. 17 and No. 18 with intervals of up to 60 minutes.
These social routes help maintain basic connectivity between crucial parts of the city despite the suspension of electric transport.
