Municipal workers are consistently engaged in efforts to mitigate the consequences of vandalism in the city. Unknown individuals are damaging garden furniture, defacing walls of underground passages and bus stops, and uprooting flowers from flowerbeds.
Earlier this week, white paint was spilled on the alleys of the City Garden by unknown vandals. Employees of the "Miskzelentrest" municipal enterprise, along with their colleagues from the "Service Center," worked hard to scrub the paint off the tiles. Previously, "Miskzelentrest" reported the theft of 15 rose bushes from a flowerbed near the "Red Cross" bus stop.
Recently, specialists from the "Odessa Electric Technical Installation Enterprise" also dealt with the aftermath of vandalism in pedestrian crossings, where vandals have repeatedly defaced walls and damaged lighting fixtures.
In October of this year, electricians from the "Odessmisksvitlo" municipal enterprise recorded an act of vandalism along the Health Route, where unknown individuals damaged equipment on 10 poles. Automatic switches and covers from junction boxes were stolen, and cables were ripped out. The company's specialists managed to restore the damaged equipment.
Moreover, workers from the "City Roads" enterprise regularly have to clean graffiti from public transport stops and install new glass panels. Almost every day, unknown individuals leave graffiti, break benches, and destroy trash cans along with concrete, while bus stops also suffer damage due to traffic accidents.
The Odessa city authorities urge residents and visitors to treat the property of the city community with care, as intentional damage and destruction of municipal property carry criminal liability.
