In Odessa, at Srednyaya Street, 24, corp. 4, restoration has commenced on an apartment building severely impacted by Russian missile strikes.
The building suffered significant damage to its external walls, internal partitions, and structural elements. To prevent collapse, emergency stabilization work was carried out, halting further deterioration.
«The building on Srednyaya is, without exaggeration, one of the most challenging projects. Thanks to our unity and timely funding, we have managed to avert a greater tragedy,» - stated Odessa's Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov.
Currently, following all necessary procedures and the results of the tender, the company «Stikon» has begun restoration work on the site.
«After the comprehensive recovery and liquidation efforts, a project was commissioned at the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The project has been evaluated, and restoration work has commenced,» - noted Artem Zakharov, Deputy Director of the Department of Municipal Economy of the Odessa City Council.
As of now, specialists are working on restoring the building's external structures, internal walls, and partitions. Preparatory work for reinforcing the building and erecting new structures has started.
Completion of the work is planned by the end of June 2025.
A total of 42 million UAH has been allocated from the city budget for the restoration of the damaged building, including 7 million UAH for addressing the aftermath of the attack and 35 million UAH for the restoration itself.
