Odessa has received a new shipment of equipment from Japan - 10 water tanks and a truck.
Six tanks were handed over to the municipal enterprise «Miskzelentrest» for operational activities, while four tanks and a truck went to the municipal enterprise «City Roads». This organization is responsible for maintaining order on city streets and bus stops. During the war, they also work on mitigating the effects of enemy attacks.
Additionally, all available water tanks are utilized for water delivery when needed. For instance, Odessa's utility workers transported water to the neighboring city of Mykolaiv when it was without water for several months. They also provided water to the State Emergency Service for extinguishing large-scale fires in the ecosystem.
Furthermore, after attacks on the energy system, when Odessa was left without electricity, water, and heating, the water tanks were used to deliver water to areas lacking public wells.
«I thank our Japanese friends for their incredible support and wish health, happiness, and prosperity to our country. May 2025 bring new opportunities for our cooperation with Japan and the implementation of joint projects, hopefully, with the restoration and development of Odessa!» - expressed Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov.
