Emergency restoration work at the building on Sofiivska Street is ongoing. The installation of a reinforced belt for wall connections has been completed, and a new roof has been placed over the most damaged section of the building. A small part of the roof still requires replacement. 
 
Today, October 31, 2024, Odesa's Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov met with residents to discuss critical issues. Among the top priorities are the installation of a ceiling between the new roof and the apartments, the restoration of windows and heating systems, and repairs to the staircases in one of the entrances. 
 
The mayor noted that collaboration with charitable and civic organizations providing construction materials enables quicker emergency work and expressed hope for continued cooperation, as budgetary procedures tend to take a long time, especially considering the building's status as an architectural monument. 

Mayor Trukhanov thanked the "Morning of Revival" charity fund, the "Tenth of April" NGO, and the UNHCR for their ongoing support and provision of building materials. 
 
The emergency work at the Sofiivska Street building is being carried out by the "ZHKC Porto-Franсkivsk" with the support and coordination of Odesa's mayor's humanitarian advisor, Veronika Etnarovych.
