In educational institutions owned by the Odesa community, St. Nicholas Day and the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are traditionally celebrated with festive events for children and the charity initiative #WarmWave.
As part of the initiative, educators from the city prepare treats, fill first aid kits, gather necessary items and food for our defenders, donate funds, and weave camouflage nets.
Children create protective charms, letters of support, and drawings, which they send to the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who defend our borders every day.
The city's educational establishments hold educational events dedicated to the heroic history of the Ukrainian people and the struggle of its defenders for statehood, as well as exhibitions of children’s art titled “Proud of Our Defenders.”
The residence of St. Nicholas has also opened, where everyone can write a letter to the children's magician and immerse themselves in a winter fairy tale.
Representatives of the high school parliament in Odesa, along with the children of fallen heroes, decorated patriotic Christmas trees on the Alley of Heroes with handmade ornaments.
With hope for victory and faith in a peaceful future, Odesa educators are engaged in significant initiatives aimed at national-patriotic education, promoting the military heroism of Ukrainians, and honoring the courage and heroism of the defenders of Ukraine.
