Gazebo construction in the national park
According to law enforcement, in the Yaskiv community, a 62-year-old man illegally occupied a plot of land near the Dniester River — right on the territory of the nature reserve. He set up a fishing area with a gazebo without any permits.
During the investigation, law enforcement discovered that the man had seized 33.21 m² of territory that is part of the Lower Dniester National Nature Park.
"The man used part of the state natural park for personal leisure. He had no permits whatsoever," said investigator Daria Stotska.
It is known that the seized area is of state significance and is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
What are the penalties for illegal land seizure
Currently, the pre-trial investigation against the offender has been completed, and the indictment has already been sent to court. The defendant has been charged with illegal occupation of land, committed regarding particularly valuable lands. According to the sanctions of part 2 of Article 197-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, he faces up to two years of imprisonment.
