Fortunately, no one was harmed due to the teenagers' dangerous antics. Police conducted discussions with the children and issued citations to the parents, who may face fines.
Recently, during online monitoring, law enforcement discovered a video in which four teens mixed hazardous chemicals in a bottle and threw it on the stairwell, resulting in an explosion.
Following these events, juvenile inspectors from the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi police department identified the boys and reached out to them.
It turned out that the 12-year-old locals attempted to replicate a stunt they had seen on social media.
“These families had not been on the police radar before. We warned the boys about the dangers of such actions, and reminded their parents of their responsibility in raising their children. We filed reports under Article 184 of the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses, which entails fines up to 1,700 UAH for parents failing to fulfill their duties. The materials have been sent to court,” commented police chief Pavlo Bobchynskyi.
Police urge parents to pay closer attention to their children, explaining the dangers posed by household chemicals and other substances, as well as the consequences of unlawful behavior.
