Today, April 27, in the afternoon, a traffic incident took place on Prince Yaroslav the Wise Avenue.

According to Dmitro Slyuta, head of the transport crime investigation department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region, it has been preliminarily established that a 46-year-old woman driving a «Ravon» lost control while leaving a car wash, damaged a fence, and drove onto the sidewalk where she struck a 7-year-old girl, pinning her against a parked «Renault» vehicle.

Medical personnel hospitalized the child with a suspected pubic bone fracture, as well as bruises and abrasions.

Police checked the driver for intoxication; she was sober.

The investigative group of the regional police is determining the full circumstances of the incident. The issue of entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations is being resolved.

Police again urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic rules and remain cautious behind the wheel.
