From July 25 to 27, Odesa will host the third edition of the "VydelkaFest," showcasing Ukrainian culture. After successful events in Vilkove and Chornomorsk, the festival comes to Odesa for the first time, promising three days of vibrant activities.
The organizers have announced that the Ukrainian PEN has partnered with the festival, which was launched in 2023. This year's theme remains unchanged: "Remember. Fight. Nurture," emphasizing Ukrainian resilience and memory.
The festival program will feature live performances by contemporary Ukrainian musicians, screenings of the best recent Ukrainian films, literary readings, and public discussions. Notable participants in the literary program include authors like Valerii Puzik, Marianna Savka, and others.
"Odesa is a place where memory, pain, and strength converge. We want Ukrainian culture to resonate here loudly and sincerely. Culture is our daily frontier," said festival founder Serhii Hnizdilov.
Audiences will also experience the music and poetry performance "Witnesses" by poet Kateryna Kalytko and Marianna Sadovska, while director Iryna Tsilyk will discuss her work in documentary animation. The musical stage will host bands such as "Pyrig i Batih," "Karna," "Faktychno Samy," and others.
Together with the Dignitas Charity Fund, "VydelkaFest" aims to raise 3 million UAH for evacuation robotic ground complexes for the 56th Mariupol Separate Mechanized Brigade. Admission to the festival is free, but registration is required due to limited capacity.
