From July 12 to 19, 2025, Odesa will host a vibrant celebration of French culture, featuring a series of artistic and educational events that highlight cultural diplomacy and the friendship between Ukraine and France.
The week will include concerts, exhibitions, literary readings, creative meetings, musical performances, and a grand outdoor festival.
As part of the multicultural week, a themed exhibition titled 'France Through the Eyes of Ukrainian Artists' will be held in the hall of the Odesa City Council, showcasing works from students and faculty of the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushynsky and the K.U. 'City Art Gallery'.
In honor of the French Republic's national holiday—Bastille Day, celebrated on July 14—Odesa's Mayor Gennady Trukhanov stated:
'We deeply appreciate the ties between Odesa and France. On this day, we honor the values of liberty, equality, and fraternity—principles that unite our peoples and strengthen our partnership.'
The mayor also highlighted the outcomes of recent trips to Paris and Rome.
