On November 27, 2024, Deputy Mayor of Odessa Pavlo Vugelman held a meeting with the head of the UNICEF Office in Ukraine, Ms. Audrey Lecomte. 

During the meeting, the initiative «Families on the Path to Stability: Enhancing Child Care in Odessa and Mykolaiv Regions» was presented, implemented in partnership with the Odessa City Council. 

This program aims to promote family-based upbringing and create conditions that allow children to remain within their families. 

Special attention is given to integrated services that will support not only the children but also their families in challenging life situations. 

«We are grateful to our partners from UNICEF for this remarkable initiative that will open new opportunities for family support in our region. Together, we are working to ensure that every child can grow up in a loving and caring family,» emphasized Pavlo Vugelman. 

During the meeting, the parties discussed the establishment of a working group to coordinate activities for the project's implementation. 

This initiative will be a significant step towards enhancing family resilience and ensuring the well-being of children in the Odessa and Mykolaiv regions.
