Solar Power Initiatives for Odesa Hospitals
The multi-profile hospitals in Ovidiopol and Bilyaivka have begun the installation of solar power stations. This marks a significant step towards energy independence and the uninterrupted functioning of healthcare facilities, even during complete power outages.
The Ovidiopol hospital is equipped with a 70 kW station.
The Bilyaivka multi-profile hospital will become one of the most powerful in the region with a 500 kW station.
This project is being implemented under a Memorandum between the hospitals and the Lithuanian company UAB Solet, supported by the Lithuanian Government, which has allocated funds for the equipment.
The equipment is already on-site, and installation work is ongoing. Soon, both healthcare facilities will be able to operate partially autonomously, independent of the general power grid.
We thank our international partners for their tangible actions that strengthen Ukrainian healthcare and ensure its resilience in wartime.
