New Mammography Equipment in Odesa: A Breakthrough in Diagnostics

image

A state-of-the-art mammography machine has been installed at the consultative and diagnostic center of the city clinical hospital No. 1 in Odesa, located at: 38 Bolgarska Street.
The innovative Giotto Class 3D-C mammograph employs second-generation tomosynthesis (3D mammography), enabling the creation of three-dimensional images of breast tissue with 1 mm slices. This allows doctors to detect even the smallest changes at early stages, significantly enhancing prevention and treatment efficiency.

Advantages of the Giotto Class 3D-C mammography examination:

  • High diagnostic accuracy — tumors can be detected before symptoms appear.
  • Minimal radiation exposure.
  • Exceptional image quality — broad scanning angle, high sharpness, enhanced contrast, and reduced noise ensure clear and informative images.
  • Comfort and speed.

Mammography is provided free of charge with an electronic referral from a family doctor or a specialist — mammologist, obstetrician-gynecologist, oncologist, etc.

The mammography room No. 718 operates on the 7th floor of the CDC of the city clinical hospital No. 1 at 38 Bolgarska Street from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Advance booking is required via the hospital's contact center at (0800) 33 23 01.

Additionally, modern laboratory equipment and ultrasound devices have been acquired for the city clinical hospital No. 1.

Moreover, modern mammography services are available in other areas of Odesa:
Kyiv district — Consultative and Diagnostic Center No. 20, 62 Levitana Street, phone (094) 949 10 19, (048) 798 80 19.
Peresyp district — Consultative and Diagnostic Center No. 29, 100 Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue, in the trauma center, phone (048) 758 52 56, (048) 758 50 45.

For timely diagnosis of precancerous conditions and early treatable cancers, the National Health Service of Ukraine recommends that women over 45 undergo screening mammography every two years.

Women at risk should undergo mammography annually — those whose close relatives have had breast cancer, or women suspected of having tumors detected during manual examination or ultrasound.
