Border guards from the Izmail unit were honored with church medals for their dedication and bravery in serving Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The medals of Saint Great Martyr George the Victorious were awarded to the rapid reaction forces of the Izmail unit.
In the church of Saint Volodymyr in Izmail, the military chaplain of the Izmail border guard unit, Archimandrite Makarii, conducted the award ceremony under the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine. He presented the medals to military personnel who demonstrated courage and self-sacrifice while defending Ukraine.
«The Medal of Saint George the Victorious is a spiritual symbol of support, prayer, and blessing. Accept these awards with gratitude for your resilience and bravery. May the Lord protect you in your service and grant you strength to overcome all trials,» — the chaplain addressed the servicemen.
