The Friedehorst Foundation, located in Bremen, is renowned for its long-standing commitment to supporting people with disabilities and the elderly. This organization exemplifies a comprehensive approach to social services, adaptation, and rehabilitation.
During our visit, we explored the work of various departments within the foundation, particularly those specializing in care for individuals with disabilities, rehabilitation programs for both children and adults, and modern methods of supporting the elderly.
This experience is extremely valuable for the Odesa region, as we aim to enhance accessibility and create conditions for social integration of all population categories. We discussed opportunities for collaboration in experience exchange, implementation of modern rehabilitation technologies, and the development of training programs for specialists working with individuals with disabilities.
We paid special attention to issues related to the development of long-term strategies to support socially vulnerable groups that could be adapted to our regional context.
We are grateful to our colleagues at Friedehorst for their openness and willingness to share their expertise. Such collaboration is a significant step towards enhancing the quality of life for residents of the Odesa region.
