Support for Persons with Disabilities in Ukraine

image

Due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the number of people with disabilities in Ukraine is steadily increasing, particularly those with severe functional impairments such as multiple limb amputations and spinal or brain injuries.

These individuals require specialized rehabilitation aids for recovery.

The government ensures access to high-quality prosthetics and other rehabilitation tools that enable them to regain lost functions and adapt to new conditions.

All relevant information regarding the state prosthetics program is collected on the online platform protez.msp.gov.ua, launched by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities.

Within this program, individuals can receive prosthetics or other rehabilitation aids for free, as well as repair and maintenance services. Support is provided at all stages—from application submission to receiving the product.

Free provision of rehabilitation aids for persons with disabilities is carried out through the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities. The Ministry constantly improves the rehabilitation program to make the process as simple and accessible as possible.
