For April 21, elevated fire hazard levels are expected in the Odesa region. Due to weather conditions, rapid fire spread is possible in case of ignition. Meteorologists urge residents to exercise extreme caution with fire.

This information is provided by the Black Sea and Azov Sea Hydrometeorological Center.

"Weather conditions will significantly increase the probability of fire outbreaks in ecosystems where ignition sources are present," the forecasters stated.

Fire risk in Odesa

According to forecasters, the danger will be widespread across almost the entire Odesa region. High-risk areas include:

  • Lyubashivka;
  • Zatyshye;
  • Serbka;
  • Rozdilna;
  • Sarata;
  • Bolhrad;
  • Vylkove;
  • Izmail.

Safety rules during fire hazard

To prevent fires, adhere to the following safety measures:

  • do not burn dry grass or leaves on garden plots;
  • do not kindle open flames near dry vegetation and outbuildings;
  • do not discard cigarette butts or matches on dry substrate;
  • avoid visiting forests altogether, as there is a risk of encountering explosive remnants in many areas of Ukraine.

If a fire is detected, immediately contact the Rescue Service at number 101.

Experts emphasize that in hot and windy weather, even a single spark can lead to a large-scale environmental disaster.
