A key event for the agricultural sector: representatives from the farming community gathered in the Odesa region.
At the modern elevator complex «VIKING-South», farmers from across the region convened. The main topics included land protection under martial law, tax reporting, new challenges for the agri-sector, and preparations for harvesting early grains.
The Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Dmytro Radulov, emphasized the importance of supporting farmers for the economic stability of the region. He noted that transparent collaboration and effective tax administration are crucial in these challenging times.
Egor Chikshaev, the Director of the Department of Agricultural Policy, Food, and Land Relations of the Odesa Regional State Administration, spoke about the current stage of preparation for harvesting early grains and legumes.
Key focus areas of the meeting:
- legal aspects of land transactions during martial law
- land rental and farmer rights protection
- cooperation with the public sector in drought-prone areas
- introduction to the latest elevator technologies
The event, organized by the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, brought together farmers, legal experts, land planners, and heads of agricultural enterprises.
While our defenders protect the front lines, farmers maintain food security. The agricultural sector in Odesa continues to operate, adapt, and reaffirm that our strength lies in the people working the land.
