An ambulance was involved in a traffic accident in Odesa. The vehicle was responding with sirens and lights activated, but a car failed to yield at an intersection, resulting in a collision that pushed the ambulance into another parked car. Crew members sustained injuries.
The accident occurred on June 28 in central Odesa as the ambulance team was en route to an emergency call. At an intersection on Mala Arnautska Street, a driver of a passenger car violated traffic rules by not yielding to the emergency vehicle, leading to the crash. The impact caused the ambulance to collide with a parked vehicle.
Crew members, including a doctor, a paramedic, and an emergency medical technician, were injured and hospitalized. Their condition is currently stable. The ambulance sustained significant damage.
The agency emphasizes: "Every driver is responsible not just for themselves, but for the lives of others. An ambulance, a fire truck, or a police car is not just a vehicle; it's a lifeline. Especially now, during wartime, every second counts in saving lives."
