Every year on November 30, Ukraine celebrates an important date - the Day of the Radio Technical Troops of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This day was established on September 16, 2010, by the order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Yezhel, to acknowledge the critical role of radio technical troops in ensuring the security of airspace.

The Radio Technical Troops are vital in gathering information about aerial situations and conducting radio technical reconnaissance of aerial objects.

As noted by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, thanks to the efforts of the radio technical troops, Ukrainians receive timely warnings about aerial threats.

“November 30 is a day when we honor the professionalism of military radio technicians responsible for detecting aerial threats,” Syrskyi emphasized.

He also highlighted the importance of the radio technical troops' work in ensuring the country's security amidst aggression.

“Dear radio technicians! Your work may go unnoticed by many, but your role is critically important for those who make decisions,” he noted.

In the early hours of Russia's full-scale invasion, military radio technicians were able to maintain command systems and provide necessary information to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, enabling effective responses to threats.

“I congratulate you on your professional holiday. I wish you health and success in your important work. May peace be upon our skies. We remember our fallen comrades,” Syrskyi added.
