The State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" has commenced the sale of Christmas trees, with around 10,000 already sold. According to the press service, this year it is planned to sell approximately 140,000 coniferous trees. If demand exceeds expectations, additional trees will be harvested.
On 2,700 hectares, there are "Christmas tree" plantations growing 7.8 million holiday trees.
Prices for New Year’s coniferous trees remain social and have nearly unchanged from last year — ranging from 210 to 250 UAH. Fir/spruce — from 240 to 280 UAH. — the statement says.
Notably, slightly higher prices can be found in resource-scarce regions of the East and South, near large cities (Dnipro, Odesa, Mykolaiv). The cheapest trees are offered by foresters in the forested areas of the North and Polissia (Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv).
Additionally, some branches of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" offer New Year’s trees in containers, with prices starting at 500 UAH depending on size.
Trees can be purchased directly from the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" without overpricing. Their branches organize retail sales at trading sites of forest enterprises, fairs, and markets in localities.
Importantly, the Christmas trees sold by the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" are necessarily marked with tags containing barcodes or self-adhesive labels, confirming their legality and safety.
