A trial has commenced in Odesa for an individual charged with espionage against air defense and the "Lut" assault brigade. The man faces allegations of treason.

The Odesa regional prosecutor's office reported this.

Authorities discovered that the accused voluntarily collaborated with a Russian military intelligence officer, collecting crucial information about the locations of temporary bases of the National Police's "Lut" assault brigade and the deployment sites of mobile air defense units in Odesa.

"The informant transmitted materials with geographical coordinates through drafts in electronic mailboxes, intended for the enemy to adjust missile strikes and drone attacks.

The Odesa resident was apprehended at the end of August 2024 while carrying out another assignment. He awaits trial in custody," the statement read.
