A new psychosocial support center named ПОРАДА has been established in Dobroslav, Odesa region. This is a significant step within the framework of the national mental health program "How are you?" initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.

This space is dedicated to supporting women, girls, and families who find themselves in challenging situations.

ПОРАДА stands for: Space of Support, Equality, Active Actions, Trust, and Tailored Support, which are the core values guiding the center's operations.

The center is staffed with professionals including psychologists, social workers, case managers, mentors, and community mobilizers. They provide daily support to the residents of Dobroslav community, helping them navigate the challenges of wartime.

In the Family Center, parents and children can engage in group activities, receive individual consultations, humanitarian aid, and attend mothers’ clubs.

The Women’s Center offers educational courses, support meetings, leadership and violence prevention training, as well as girls’ clubs for teenagers.

“Opening such a space during wartime is not merely a humanitarian need but a powerful step towards protection, equality, and hope,” said Jamila Akhtar, a child protection specialist at UNICEF.

This initiative was made possible by the Charitable Foundation “Winds of Change” with financial support from UNICEF.

The ПОРАДА center is another example of how the "How are you?" program is transforming communities and helping Ukrainians maintain their mental health despite challenges.

The development and implementation of the program are coordinated by the Coordination Center of the Cabinet of Ministers / Mental Health UA with expert support from WHO.
