On July 4, 2025, in Odesa, at the VETERANS HUB ODESA, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the children's drawing contest titled «Guardians of the Sea – Loyal, Brave, Strong», dedicated to the Day of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The contest aimed to foster national consciousness, creativity, patriotism, and love for the homeland among children and youth.
The drawing contest was organized for students of general secondary and extracurricular education institutions in Odesa, divided into the following age categories: 6-10, 11-14, and 15-18 years.
The jury has selected the winners, who received certificates from the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along with valuable prizes.
Age category 6-10 years:
1st place - Maksym Pokholchuk, a student of the Odesa City Palace of Children and Youth Creativity (mentor - Larysa Bazhanova);
2nd place - Mykhailo Cheban, a student of the Odesa House of Children's and Youth Creativity «Dominanta» (mentor - Kristina Nechyporuk);
3rd place - Daria Shevchenko, a student of the Odesa House of Children's and Youth Creativity «Tonica» (mentor - Oksana Tkachuk).
Age category 11-14 years:
1st place - Mykhailo Banakh, a student of Odesa Lyceum No. 63 (mentor - Yuliya Sidorova);
2nd place - Kasapien Yaroslav, a student of Odesa Gymnasium «South Ukrainian» (mentor - Oksana Smetanyuk);
3rd place - Tetiana Vihornytska, a student of Odesa Lyceum No. 72 (mentor - Stela Yavetska).
Age category 15-18 years:
1st place - Mykyta Barmaliuk, a student of Odesa Lyceum No. 63 (mentor - Yuliya Sidorova);
2nd place - Anastasiya Syvoplyasova, a student of the Odesa House of Creativity «Tonica» (mentor - Lina Bezprozvanykh);
3rd place - Zlata Yusypenko, a student of the Odesa Center for Children and Youth Creativity «Promin» (mentor - Hanna Buyalska).
This event was conducted under the initiative of the command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the support of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa City Council.
