A CrossFit championship for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine took place in Lviv. Over fifty border guards from various regions competed in strength, endurance, and teamwork. The Southern Regional Administration of the State Border Guard Service reported outstanding results from the soldiers of Odesa.
The athletes competed in four age categories, performing a complex of nine exercises, including pull-ups, bench presses, rope climbing, and a team relay on the Concept 2 rowing machine.
The Odesa unit won gold in the overall team standings, with podium finishes also achieved by border guards from Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi. The strongest border guards claimed several victories:
Individual achievements:
- Bohdan Kalkatynich – gold in the II age group (Odesa border unit);
- Narek Arutyunyan – gold in the III age group (Odesa border unit);
- Maxim Zahorodniuk – bronze in the II age group (Izmail border unit);
- Serhiy Tkachenko – silver in the III age group (Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi border unit).
In the team events, the Odesa unit once again reached the podium, winning silver in the relay.
