From October 20 to 27, 2025, the World Youth Wrestling Championship for Greco-Roman, women's, and freestyle wrestling took place in Novi Sad, Serbia. 

Representing the National Team of Ukraine, Odesa's Ruslan Abdiyev competed in the 82 kg weight category and secured a silver medal, showcasing remarkable technical skill and athletic endurance.

Ruslan is a member of the 9th Sports Club of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. His training was overseen by coaches Viktor Klintzov and Yuri Prokofiev.

Following the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament, the Ukrainian team finished in second place overall among 44 countries, earning two gold and two silver medals.
