From November 17 to 19, 2025, Uzhgorod hosted the Ukraine Judo Championship for junior cadets under 17 years old.

Over 500 athletes born between 2009 and 2011 participated from 21 regions of Ukraine.

The team from Odesa region included athletes from the Comprehensive Children's and Youth Sports School No. 15 in Odesa.

In the 73 kg category, the silver medal was awarded to Volodymyr Sorvachov, while the bronze medalist in the 66 kg category was Yuriy Pinchuk.

The athletes were coached by Hennadiy Yaremenko.

There are 143 young athletes training in the judo sections of the municipal children's and youth sports schools in Odesa.
