The Odessa-Zaporizhzhia train was struck during its journey, causing panic among passengers. Emergency responders and medical teams quickly arrived at the scene, and passengers were moved to safety. This was reported by Ukrainian Railways.
“As a result of the terrorist attack by Russian forces, train No. 52 sustained damage. Rescue teams promptly reached the location. Due to the air raid alert, passengers were moved to shelters,” stated the Ukrainian Railways.
Additionally, Ukrainian Railways announced plans for substitute rolling stock on the Dnipro route to safely transport passengers. The head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported damages to civilian infrastructure, including a dormitory, a gymnasium, and an administrative building. Injuries among passengers have been reported, along with fatalities.

“Fortunately, there were no casualties among the passengers or railway employees of train No. 52, which was hit by an enemy missile. Injured passengers are receiving medical attention,” the press service of Ukrainian Railways informed.
To facilitate the transport of passengers to Zaporizhzhia, an additional electric train is scheduled to depart from Dnipro around 1:00 PM.
